Ironically - this might be the nearest MBC to me... :((

I seem to remember a group sailing there circa 84-88 and a show of some kind

Know them.. More model engineering focused than boats...and the timing of their meetings is not great for me

The irony is I am spending more time in Aberdeen at the moment than Inverness. Am looking at Model Boat kits small enough to be packed in the car along with luggage, laptops, H&S Gear, notes, etc.....

You do get some strange looks when assembling a model in a hotel bar...

Just a small update the Pond here in aberdeen was suffering a bit due to all the heat and high humidity of late but the council has stepped up to the mark and been out with there stand pipes and been filling the pond when they can, its a large pond so the 4" stand-pipe takes a bit of filling. ;)

I used to sail at Duthie park years ago.  I don't think there was anything formal back then.  Also looked at your "aberdeen" club site for a while and it's not looking good these days, website not very welcoming at all, just get directed back to a locked forumll!  Not very inviting these days?
