It's me again... :embarrassed:
Thanks to the help of everyone I'm now whittling down the drive chain of the 26 inch Police launch that I'm building to a Graupner speed 400 ( https://howesmodels.co.uk/product/graupner-speed-400-electric-motor/ ) operating at 7.2 volts and now of course comes the decision over the speed controller.
Has anyone any ideas as the sort of ESC that will do the job? There seems such a variety these days....

Probably the most popular would be the MTroniks Viper 15A. A Speed 400 should not be run over 10A so a 15A ESC would do the job nicely. I think Howes have them at a decent price, too. https://howesmodels.co.uk/product/mtroniks-viper-marine-15-plug-n-play-electronic-speed-controller/

I would go along with that. I have had several Mtroniks ESCs and always been happy with them. (Touches wood just in case :embarrassed: )

That looks good, thanks... I'm hoping to get just a decent scale speed out of this one, rather then the "Bat out of hell " look with my Sea Scout %%
