Today I had to paint with the brush instead of spray gun.
I had a tin of Humbrol which was diluted with thinners left over and a new tin of paint. I mixed the two together but, when brushed on, looked streaky and runny. I could see it wasn't going to cover very well so I'm wondering if anything can be added to thicken the consistency. I've thought of leaving the lid off, but this would only create a skin across the top. Anyboby have any ideas. ?
Perhaps it's too late and I should buy a new batch. :-\

If you leave it with the lid on for a while the pigment will separate from the solvent and sink to the bottom. Then you can pour some of the excess solvent off. Might take a while though.

Kenny,
leave the lid off for a couple of hours, but stir every 15 mins or so to stop skinning.
The thinners will evaporate leaving thicker paint.
