Title: What to do with the keel
Post by: Rodgearing on June 09, 2019, 04:48:24 pm

An age ago I acquired the half finished hull of an  ANTEO tug. it was a mess.  The hull itself had been double planked and painted gwd knows in what but it had cracked and crazed.
This weekend I removed the paint and have started making good the keel filling holes etc.
What would the consummate professional do next?
I was thinking of a couple of coats of resin and then paint.
Any ideas? Please
Is there a resin out there that fills and seals and makes a nice smooth surface without too much bother.
Or would you put a matt (GRP/fibre glass) coat over the hull?
Thanks
Fred
