Title: Motor responds and runs full throttle only
Post by: Warrior on August 18, 2019, 04:51:25 pm
this is on a viper bait boat,

But I’d imagine it’s a general rc problem. I’ve been fixing mine and my friends boats for a while but I’m stumped.

If I turn in the hand set and then the boat, the left motor runs forward if I push forward on the hand set, if I pull the stick back motor runs backwards but won’t stop in the middle, other motor is fine. Everything else works perfect,

I’d thought speed controller but I can't find any, there is a control PCB and that’s it,

I’m thinking it’s the pcb but don’t really know how to diagnose the fault.

Thanks in advance.

I have a spair handset and rec, but them on and it would not control anything,

Sounds to me that the circuit board has gone dullaly....no cure for it bin it and either put a new one in Or get rid of all the wiring and start again with proper rc gear....done quite a few of the vipers.

What i thought, for a quick fix, could I buy 2 speed controllers and wire then to the motors and in the receiver to by pass that part of of the pcb?  It’s tank type steering so am I right in thinking I wouldn’t need a mixer?
