Handsome - just make sure that you fit a few anti-theft screws to those hinges (or at least put a dome-headed coach bolt through them somewhere).I found out that this is a good idea way back in 1982 - the morning after some scumbag had decided to help himself to most of my power tools and drawing equipment. He then used one of my large screwdrivers to break into the garage and nick an old JAP outboard motor and my mower!

A priority might be to fit blinds to those windows that can be kept closed while it is not in use. No need to show off any valuable items.

O - and check that your House Contents insurance covers outbuildings and their contents. Fortunately mine did but I've since had quotes from companies where this cover was extra. God bless the Co-op* in my case!
*Other insurance companies are available....
BTW some rainwater guttering would be a good idea. It stops water dripping down the outside walls of your workshop and the consequent growth of algae and rot.

On my old shed when I was living at home with the parents (yep I bought a shed - it was a big un as well 10' x 8') we use plywood boards to cover the windows, hinged at the bottom and locked at the top, when the shed was in use we dropped the boards to let light in obviously.
first work on the shed may be to repair the damage to that door ;) or even the supplier if its due to warping, unless you got it cheaper due to it.

give it time, a proper shed should be impossible to steal from, as first they will need to find the things of value, then second be able to get them to the door to remove them, there should be a person sized and shaped hole somewhere in the middle to work from.

I really recommend you put some insulation in as mine (insulated but not well enough) was like an oven in the summer and like a bloody freezer in the winter. Once I moved out from working in it professionally, I often took stuff indoors to work in the warm! The sliver lined extratherm board and quilted foil stuff for the roof will work well enough. Otherwise, enjoy and lets see some building!

Insulation is vital or tools and everything will rust quickly. A thin coating of oil is vital for protection of tools.

Looks like it needs insulation to me also, and ant-con heaters if not there. Also is that OSB / Sterling board on the roof? I personally think it needs some stiffeners, it usually starts sagging between free spans of 2-3 feet inbetween. Good advice re: windows, block them out straight away. And same with the doors, get those hinges fitted with round head bolts on the outside etc if not yet. Lastly -it's a catch 22: Never ever make a shed look like it has anything "attractive" or worthwile inside either. They will often get in regardless of anything you can think of (it's their professional job), but you can try to camouflge it as something "drab" and less interesting from the start. OTHERWISE I'm a bit jealous -would really like a shed / workshop to work in. Proper workbenches, proper lights and electrics with RCD sockets, can make a bit of noise and mess outside the house. Very envious!
