Title: Another newbie question concerning DF65 and DF95 winches.

Mods please move to correct section.


A question about the possibility of replacing both sail and rudder winches on both models with proven generic ones?
Not being sure of how they are rated etc. Neither boat will have to conform to class rules.


The present Joysway offerings seem a bit expensive in some cases and conversation recently strayed to alternatives, I appreciate their failure rate should be low if adjusted correctly however recent forays with electronics proved  %%

I have never had a problem with the sail winches on either my 95 or 65?  The rudder servos, that is a different matter and I replaced mine with the appropriate size Kingmax metal geared servos from the Componant Shop, which have been no problem so far but always have spares just in case?
