Why do people log out?

I never logout, I hit the stay logged in button, but, never does,

I have never logged out either, plus this is my Home Page on this PC which usually means I am listed first.
The blurb at the top of the site says "Total time logged in: 86 days, 6 hours and 19 minutes. "
Should be more than that? Maybe it gets reset after Mayhem maintenance etc?

I select the FOREVER option but occasionally needs a refresh.
Out of interest who uses the buddy list option?
I have 77 buddies in mine :-)

I've never used the buddy list option - whats that about? I suddenly feel like Billy no mates {-)

Select their username and add or remove from buddy list
Buddies appear in the logged in list in bold type
My buddies include people like you :-)) {-)
Those who I know as friends those who are like minded and those who have been helpful in my learning 8)
Those who do great blogs especially

One other point to mention regarding viewing forum pictures. Only forum hosted photos are not visible if not logged in.
Any photos that are image links from the larger web are visible and probably over 2000 of my pictures that I host myself through annual subscription are visible in my blogs regardless. I do hope that people are encouraged to join the forum having viewed my pictures.
In my view people are more likely to join to ask questions in response to what they can see freely.
I also think the number of hurdles that new members have to jump is excessive and perhaps moderators who can clearly see that a new member is genuine ought to override the protection on an individual basis :-))
Even better if members make a donation of wonga no matter how small :-) keep Martin touring shows 8)

IIRC all Simple Machines forums always list who you are first on the Users Online listing. I am first on here now, but I've only been on here 5 mins or so.

HelloI only log in when i want to see a picture or comment, which is not often. Which makes me one of the guests and guilty and not guilty.

I'me always logged in but I never appear in the "users online" list, it could be i'me one of the hidden members that appear there but I don't know how to come out of hiding :embarrassed:
