Title: Toyo 210 lathe - help sought
Post by: Southern Sailor on September 12, 2019, 08:50:03 pm
Good day Gents,
I have a Toyo 210 Lathe and want to replace the cross slide handwheel and dial.  Can anyone help with where I can get a replacement handwheel?  Would be grateful for your help.  Thanks. Brian

you have a lathe, you could always turn up a new one of your own.
according to lathes.co.uk, they are also badged up as Proxxon, Manix and Saki, and were also sold under the record brand - http://www.lathes.co.uk/toyo/
so there are a few other brands you can put in a search on google for spare parts
chronos do a generic handwheel set that might be able to be made to work -https://www.chronos.ltd.uk/product/mini-lathe-metal-handwheel-and-knob-accessory-set-upgrade/

Thank you Grendel. I did think about turning up a new part myself and seem to remember an article on the subject once.  I'll follow up on the leads that you have given.  Thanks.

Good day Grendel.  I sourced a handwheel for the Proxxon FD150 lathe.  Needs a bit of modification but looks as though it should work. Much easier to read the dial.  Thanks. Brian
