I do not like the use of spiritus in my burners for in my live steamers (locos). Can I use fuel from Coleman (camping stoves) instead?

 Spiritus/Alcohol vs. Coleman Fuel
Coleman Fuel Naphtha is intended to be used in a pressurized system and would not be a good substitute for Alcohol, It has properties very similar to the Gasoline Petrol you use in your Cars.
