Yes I work there. High quality, well priced and strong in support of newbies. The Wattle is an excellent kit for making a boat and then fitting it out with an excellent steam plant. Well worth further study. Also their Library is worth reviewing. Lots of questions answered!

In case you are concerned about me being biased - yes I am! But I would not risk my reputation on this forum by pushing a dud!
MSM Products are first class quality!

Wattle Open Steam Launch Self-assembly Kit

Based on P/N 1231 - 885mm Clinker Design GRP Boat Hull
Self assembly kit with all parts supplied complete with comprehensive assembly instructions. The kit includes wooden strips for deck finishing with the alternating light and dark wood as illustrated. It is your choice to use this presentation or source alternative covering material.

Choice of Vertical or Horizontal 3" Boiler/Clyde oscillator engine steam plants purchased separately.  Assembly components are provided for both choices. Discard the one you donít want.

Your own selection of RC control equipment. Fortunately the RC industry has standardized the dimensions of the RC components needed for this model so that we are able to make support fittings and cutouts and leave the choice of supplier to you.

Thanks guy's,
I was wondering.... always best to consider opinions
I went to an event last week where an exhibitor had two of the stationary engines, the horizontal and single vertical both with reverse gear, they ran well and did looked very good
I was interested in those engines and then saw the boat kits and got myself thinking....?
Is there any future plans to increase the range of engines ?
Thanks again, I'm very tempted
cheers

Hi Mark
We have three oscillators, two with full RC control of speed and direction, a fourth is under development. There are three operational slide valve engines all with manual reversing options and one with RC reversing option. These are matched with 2", 3" and 4" boilers. The Wattle is one of two boat kits with a third "on the slips" and another on the drawing board. Al these are matched with appropriately sized refillable gas tanks and exhaust steam oil traps. In addition to supplying integrated steam plants using these components we have custom steam plants for the Caldercraft North Light, Joffre and Imara twin screw boats.
Worth spending a bit of time to see these in greater detail on our website.

Great reply,
Thanks for taking the time to contact and your advice.
I'm going to indulge, but I'm going to wait for the new model to be launched
That way I get the best of everything and the option of looking at the new boat first
Cheers all
Mark
