Al Ross's  "Anatomy of a Ship - The Destroyer Campbeltown"  is the go to book on the Campbeltown.  It covers the ship as USS Buchanan,  As the escort destroyer HMS Campbeltown (I42) and as modified for the St Nazaire raid.   Try your local library for a copy or fleabay, as a last resort pay through the nose from Amazon.  You could try to find it online to download.
Also useful would be Squadron Signal's "Warships in Action 19" US Flush Deck Destroyers.

Another good book is "Town Class Destroyers, a critical assessment" by John Henshaw, ISBN 978 1 78500 401 8, does not have such large plans as the aforementioned book, but has several scale outline drawings of other vessels of these classes and the four mods done to them, plus info on the painting schemes used (such as some refitted in the States used USA navy grey instead of RN grey etc.).
