Title: MV Celestine props.
Post by: artlewis on November 21, 2019, 12:32:14 am
I have ordered the MV Celestine kit from Deans Marine.  It will be my winter project.  Can anyone tell me the recommended props for this ship?  Thanks for your help.

Ron's recommended props work
well as we have one on our pond
and looks good.
The real one passes our pond
on a regular run.

Hi
I have built this boat. I Sail it at shows . I run a pair of 55mm 5 blade Prop shop props. If you want to be 100% scale correct it should be 40mm or 45mm 4 blade props. The proplem with this route is. Celestine is heavly effected by windage and is Heavy. So When it is windy or you need to stop quickly the smaller props dont cut it.
If you have any quest please ask. Here is her full build log .

John,

Thanks for the help.  I think I'll start with the 40mm props, but keep a pair of 55mm 5 blades at the ready.
