Post by: Klunk on November 24, 2019, 07:13:51 pm
looking to upgrade the brushed motor on this. at present it has the stock brushed motor running on 9.6v with a lacklustre performance. i only have a rudimentary knowledge of brushless plus, esc and batteries, so what would be best combo for a better planing performance

I have a robbe najade that I built when they came standard with brushless. It was a Roxxy Inrunner 3656/06 - still available with CMB. From memory I use a 60a esc with the standard two 7.2v 5000mAh NI-MH batteries wired in series to give 14.4v

Very well. Well over scale speed so much so she can suffer from chine walk. Used to get about 40 mins out of it.
