Firstly forgive my ignorance in the workings of this forum.
Finished the 1/12th Severn and VAC II refurb.
Just started a new build of Fleetscales semi kit of HMTS Trinity CG2. Will log my pics so far once i've downloaded them, i have some on Facebook under MBM Group, but i'm going to try log my progress on here to.
-
I am looking forward to this Jim.
I have never seen one of these on the water.

Made some good progress on this build, attached are a couple of early pics as I’ve just worked out how to add photos (I think)
-
WoW it worked ok so I’ll keep posting my progress so far as I’m a couple of months on from here now

Following on Jim :-)) ....will the rudders be removable to withdraw the prop shafts....[as usual for the prototypical craft?]
This is for the unplanned leaking stern shaft seal or seized shaft bearing etc
The propulsion hardware looks to be of good quality.....are these from the standard kit?

Hi Derek, yes the rudders are removable, I’m going to create an inspection hatch for access.
Yes the running kit came as part of the original order, will more pics now I know how to!
-
I do like the running gear.

Pretty aren’t they

Is this similar to the old Veron kit of the Vosper FPB? I had one of them a good few years ago now, built by a friend who passed it on to me. Had a single MFA Barracuda motor if I remember correctly, and two lead acid batteries, weighed a ton but had real presence on the water.

Nice looking hull with good running gear, should turn out very well.
Have tried to see what spec. the motors are, but cannot quiet turn my head around far enough!
Could you advise the size and kv rating please - should both be on the label.
Am starting the build of a 27" long, twin screw pilot boat and have been toying with using 2 x 2845 2800 kv brushless motors left over from another project.
Suspect it will be vastly overpowered so am thinking of getting something smaller, rather like what I think yours are.
Thanks

Hi Rowen they are Turnigy 2 x 2836 2500 kv, nice motors, got a pair of these in my Virgin Atlantic Challenger.
-
Hi Jim,
They look good.
Much the same output the ones I have though, might be better off just to use them and see what happens.
Thanks

She's coming along really nicely. The RIB is a sweet little model in it's own right :-))
