Post by: ether823 on February 08, 2020, 10:54:22 AM
Hi, currently building a model slipway assurance (civilian) tug. In the kit there are 3 engine room telegraphs, cant find them on the plans, any idea where to place them. many thanks, Peter

Peter....without any knowledge of the Assurance Tug design, a pretty good guess would be one Telegraph on each of the bridge wings, then the main in the Bridge House itself

Each of these utilize a repeater mirror functionality, however by convention the Telegraph in the Bridge is considered as the principal unit

Thanks derek, i thought about the wheel house but on this kit there is no fittings to go inside the wheel house ie wheel, seating etc, cant understand why they would just provide the telegraphs. The only other idea I had would be one on the wheel house roof where the there is a wheel and binnacle and like you say one each on the wings. Peter
