Title: connectors
Post by: Trucker on March 17, 2020, 06:51:36 pm
hi, all
im a bit uncomfortable with trying to squeeze two 14awg size wires into one clamp connector of my action fuse board, ive looked on the web including component shop for some thing that would be neater but not found any thing, so, thinking of making my own with a a strip of brass and soldering the wires,
what method do others use.... when all seems too tight.
i think one connector will need to be a spade/straight  with one wire soldered, another connector would be stepped with wire number 2 soldered, then both brass strips fit neatly into the same clamp..

I used these on my latest build, where twin screw with all its extra wiring was required.  They are available with 2 to 5 holes each.  I found it best to strip the wire ½" and solder it before pushing it into the connector.
