Question: Is Revell's Professional a 'viscous' adhesive or does it have the same 'water like' properties as Plastic Weld ie. free running which bonds plastic instantaneously?
-
It's about halfway. It doesn't run along joints and wick stright into them like Metpak or Plastic Weld and it's not viscous like Humbrol tube cement, but it's in a very handy bottle with a fine needle. I've used it for a long time when making things from plasticard. Exclellent for jobs like that.

I use both types together, making the original joint with Revell Professional and then re-energising it with Mek-Pak or similar after the parts are positioned.
I find that gives a very strong joint, more so than with the Pro on its own.
