Title: 12 th scale Severn y-boat
Post by: bobgrimward on June 20, 2020, 06:24:08 pm
Hi Everyone,
I have been looking for a build thread for a Severn Class y-boat. Not from the Speedline kit as they are no longer available as you know so will have to be a scratch built one. I have seen one in the passed but for the life of me I can not find it again.
Has anyone got any ideas where I can find a build.
Many thanks

Only one I have seen is the Speedline kit and I have just finished putting one together on my Severn build thread.

Look on the previous page as well for some build photos.

I posted some photos of it on the Lifeboat modellers Facebook page and had at least 5 people ask where I got it and could I make some more. I must admit I am tempted to model it in the CAD system, 3D print some patterns and see if I can get them vac-formed into a kit for others. I think they would sell easy enough.

Craig.

Hi Craggle,
I have applied to join facebook lifeboat modelers forum. I did not know it existed. Thanks for the info.
I am sure if you could produce a y-boat kit they would sell well. I will be the first in the waiting list.
