Not sure how modern you want it but Tom Andrew's Bell SK5 from the 1980s is a classic model plan.

 Thanks Mr. Bishop
That`s the one I was thinking about. Anyone ever build it? Any thoughts or issues people would like to share?
How hard would it be to make for a first time builder like me?
 Thanks again for the help.
 George

Might be worth having a chat with the model hovercraft association they have plenty of members that will be happy to help and may even have plans to hand to assist you along your build  :-))

If that's a sarik plan are there copyright issues going on?  Should we be involved with that?

Sir. The model hovercraft association link was given before, and quoted in the reply you posted after.

I can't help you much, in my youth my late father had a friend called Larry hodgeson who left us a few bits as kids, the rest is history or googable.

You Sir have better eyes than I do. I re read this entire section and did not see the link. Had to use a magnifier to see the mentioned link.
 I sent them a message.

Does anyone here have experience with making realistic flexible air skits like the real ones? What material do you use and from where do you get it? Are there any how to videos available?
Thanks Again for ALL the help here. George

I build a hovercraft once, it used rip-stop nylon... bit like umbrella material.

Thank You for your reply. Have to figure out where I can get that material here in Canada and how do you seal it together? Any chance you know of how to videos to make the skirt for a hovercraft?
Thanks George
