Title: TSMV Bute
Post by: janjac on October 09, 2007, 08:41:25 pm
Hi all
I am trying to help a friend who just started to build the "TSMV Bute" which was  free plan in the April 2007 Modelboat Magazine.
He will build the ship in scale 1:50, so if someone has pictures or experience from building the ship ,I would be very happy.
Regards
Jan

Hi Janjac, you will find information on the Bute on www.shipsofcalmac.co.uk. in the History section. There are also some pictures on www.shipsnostalgia.com - go to the ferries section and do a search for Bute. You will also see images of the present day Bute. I wish your friend good luck with his build.
Best Wishes
Douglas

Hi, JollyJack here in NZ.

Building this one myself.

Would be helpfull if all drawings were to the same scale!!!!

I've just found this site while looking for photos of the old Girl. So thanks for the leads.

JollyJack is an ex marine engineer from the offshore oil industry (Offshore Marine) who has just got back into marine modelling after about a 25 year brake.

Cheers

Hi Jollyjack

Your local copy shop (if you have one) should be able to alter your plans to the required scale.
