Title: Bamboo ply sheet
Post by: npomeroy on November 05, 2020, 12:08:03 am
Is anyone using bamboo ply?  This supplier sells 1.8mm thick 5-ply sheets 4 x 8 ft.  It would need plenty of grain-filling but may be stronger than normal ply wood.  I couldn't see suppliers outside NZ but presumably it is an imported product.

npomeroy,
At the right scale, it looks like it might make a good weathered and worn deck.  Which would avoid a lot of work filling the grain.
The things to question are how does it behave when cutting and shaping plus what adhesives work with it.
Very interesting and thanks for bringing it to our attention.
