Title: Boat drone crossbreed?
Post by: Drethe on December 01, 2020, 11:08:40 am
Hey guys newbie here.

Been in the world of FPV drones for a while and looking to expand into boats. Firstly looking at the possibility of attaching a FPV camera to the boat so I can wear goggles to operate.

Do RC boats take the same lithium batteries as drones? and how many cells high do you think I can take it, I currently have so 4s' which are very powerful for the drone, would this be too much for the drone?

Do I go a step further in attaching a drone frame to a RC boat so it can fly/ glide on the water, happy for a discussion, so lets get crazy!

Hiya, boats can use lithium batteries and anything from 3s to 6s seems to be the most common.
Fitting a camera on a boat is are far from new, so the answer to that is yes, the same for using it for FPV and not purely on the water video.
As for a drone boat, well, there's no reason why not.
The tech is there, it's all down to imagination really.
