A few pics of a line handling tug I have under construction. Not adding much detail on this one after a detailed build of an iconic Monterey Clipper build. This one intended to be one for both ease of transport & launch.

Hi: Build blog? Interesting take on what I thought was a Smit Nederland PS hull...

It is a Smit Nederland hull. However that was not what I wanted to build so I looked at Robert Allan designs as built by Damen for inspiration. I chose Damen because there is a wealth of photos on line to reference. In addition Damen was kind enough to provide me with some other information. A lot of liberties taken; the 1205 Stan tug carried two fixed Korts. The Korts I had were too large for the hull so I went with a single steerable nozzle. Another big difference, other than the hull form below the waterline, is the aft engine room escape hatch. Mine had to be much larger than the 1205’s to have access to the rudder horn.
All said I think it has worked out okay. Handles quite nicely with the steerable Kort.
