OK, ok, I know I should remember this but is the Sirmar Arun Minesweeper?

(No, it didn't have buffers, there was a train behind it... honest!)

Martin,

HMS Arun is River Class minesweeper. Launched at Lowestoft in 1985. The vessel was sold to the Brazilian Navy in 1998, and renamed successively Hercules, Jose Bonifacio and Babitonga.

Purposeful & good looking boat!
Not a cheap "kit" - http://www.sirmarmodelships.com/showship.asp?ID=37

Anyone know what the model is like on water?

hi martin,
I remember seeing some years back in the water and by all accounts
it was a good stable boat.
It was powered by a 6V4Ah battery and 2 360(ish) motors
One of my friends got a hull recently and has built the superstructure
said it was straight forward enough.
Are you thinking of building one yourself?

Colin
