There is, or was a club in Bury. They used to sail at Bury Lido. Not sure what they do these days..
My good lady and I will be heading back to Lancashire in the coming weeks, so I will also be looking for a club in the Chorley/Leyland areas..

Found this by an internet search -

Looking at the list, there is a club in Leyland and one in Horwich.

Scrolling further down there are a few clubs with no website. The Fleetwood club isn't mentioned.

Bury Lido had a warning signs up about a veg infestation last time I was there (2019) with a very small boat ramp, though getting up to the waters edge entails a slope and stairs (check out google maps), there was a large infestation of Canadian geese as is the norm.

Straight down the M66 and onto Chorley thats some travelling.

I used to be a member of the Horwich North West Model group, but I have not been to the NW water Site for years, it's not an easy site to find as the access road was next to what was a derilect pub, pass a few houses heading down to a farm and the entrance was on the left about half way down the lane, once through the gate turn right down the rough track to the pond.

Bury club is still going strong, we have members from the Horwich and Blackburn clubs sailing with us when their waters are not available.  The Canada Geese problem is not as bad as it used to be and the access to the water is not to bad though if in a wheel chair there is a slop to go up?  However is needed we can open the park gate to allow a car to come up to the clubhouse?
