Title: saling water south oxon
Post by: yimpkinwoody on October 17, 2007, 06:57:27 pm
Hi all,  can anyone advise me of somwere for my son to sail his birthday pressent pirate ship. we live about 10 miles south of oxford. The problem is that my son is autistic with aspergers syndrum. he hates oxford and will not go there so the Oxford club is no go, Beal park is no good as I cannot aford twenty quid each for me ,the wife and son + club membership. i used to sail my models on a stream at a local farm, but that is no longer avalable. Anyone know of a quiet bit of water we could use. The pirate ship is one of the ones sold by Howes for about twentyfive quid, so i suspect there would be an interferance if sailed with other models. Regards to all, Woody

hi there i live in abingdon and sail on the marina when its not flooded. There a nice concrete ramp for real boat to launch from it quite sheltered and the car park is 10m to 20 fro the water. I sail on 40 meg so if you want another boat there in case is break down (boat) let me know have fun. there is all so the canal turning basin at thurp near kidlington that nice , i sail there a few times  O0
