Title: Waveney Class
Post by: manofkent on July 06, 2021, 09:34:11 am
I am purchasing a Dumas kit for the 44ft USCG boat that was the basis of the RNLI's Waveney class ALB.  I want to build it as 44-009 "RNLB Helen Turnball" originally the Sheerness station boat.  I have learnt that the whilst the hull is the same , there are significant differences the the cabins and wheelhouse.  Has anyone done this and if so do you have any tips?

Lifeboats Online have photos of most lifeboats, their Waveney Class photos are here.....   https://www.lifeboatsonline.com/RNLIWaveney.html (https://www.lifeboatsonline.com/RNLIWaveney.html)

Yes, thanks.  i am aware of that site and I also have the Nicholas Leach book on the Waveney.  i am really after any tips fellow builders may have on the alterations required to the original superstructure on the USCG original.
