Post by: Speed123 on July 08, 2021, 10:05:50 am
Hallo,

i have been working on the model for about one year and it is now nearly finished.

to share my experiences a video was created to summarize the important topics from the build including optimizing the Schottel drives or making the main winch operational.

As english is not my native language, please excuse any deficits.

Hello,

last weekend a camera was mounted to the back of the wheelhouse, simulating the Skipper-view towards the working area and taking video-clips during the anchor-handling.

Getting the anchor into the water is still a bit tricky and needs further improvement.
Retrieving anchor and buoy however works fine.

But see yourself:

Hello,

after some search I found two real offshore buoys at "Shapeways" 3D printing service.
They look much better than the selfmade ones:

Unfortuneatly they are a bit too heavy to carry anchor and chain.
So far for remote handling the "Egg-Container"-version will still be used.
