Hi, All
Has any one successfully removed the self adhesive tape that is attached to the D shaped rubber that can be used as boat fenders. i find the blade i use quickly becomes sticky then difficult to use,
i want to remove the tape because i have found once attached it begins to release its self from the boat and its not very realistic looking. so. remove tape re glue with super glue/

Timebond works for me once the sticky tape has been cleaned off.... https://diy.evo-stik.co.uk/product/timebond-adhesive (https://diy.evo-stik.co.uk/product/timebond-adhesive)

Methylated spirits :-))

WD-40 will soften & release those sticky taped or tagged surfaces....it also has the advantage that it will not induce any gas reactions with synthetic materials
The WD-40 resedue will wash off with gentle warm water + kitchen detergent :-))

Might be easier just buy some more without the self adhesive tape...

I have always used these for my boats over the years, there neoprene D shape profile is hard wearing stuff, doesn’t tear or “nick” and is weatherproof/waterproof.

Thank you all for your input, my new supply arrived today and it has to be the better of the various deliveries i have had, i have discovered the attached self adhesive tape is simply peeling off with ease, happy days
