Post by: Trucker on October 31, 2021, 03:46:24 pm
Hi, All
with the repair of my lifeboat firmly in my head i have a nagging question i need an answer for, so hope you guys can help. with the hole around the exit hole for the shafts some what larger than it really should or needs to be would it be ok to glue in place over the hole a piece of wire mesh then layer the fiber glass over that, ( bridge the gap ).

cut some shiny backed cardboard to fit round the faults, shiny side up against the hull. Wax it well then stick it on the hull as neat as you can. Then do all the repair from the inside. I f done well it leaves very little to do on the outside. nemesis

I must sound like a broken record but is there any chance of a picture otherwise we're all somewhat guessing, you have several threads asking but we want to see the original fault otherwise we're all guessing?
