I'm slowly chipping away at my first scale boat, a Dave Metcalf 44' Waveney in 1/12 scale. For those who have built one I have a question. In the attached pictures it shows the hand railings connected to the deck AND the forward cabin - which leads me to believe that the forward cabin is not easily removed for access to the inside of the hull. I was quite surprised when this dawned on me. There is a small square hatch opening behind the fore cabin but you could not squeeze a gel cel through there let alone do much work on the interior. So - is the fore cabin easily removable when the model is finished? If you have built one do you have a picture showing all available hull access openings? Thank you for any help.

I would think may be a sliding joint some were along the hand rail?

I don't think this looks right

The rails on my Waveney were integral with the cabin, all lifting off together, with the forward rails being socketed into the deck, nemesis

Now I've got the idea - thank you Nemesis!
