"Just got my new brushless ESC it has connection to battery and to receiver. So what’s the red/black cable for?"

I had replied on the Facebook group that I thought that they were just alternative battery connections but having seen the original use I would think that the XT60 plug is for the power battery while the red JST plug is to provide power to lights on the plane. I have a similar setup on one of my planes, the esc has a JST connector to power the navigation and landing lights.
