Awful news. He'll be missed by so many of us. Always helpful and so very knowledgeable. There's another huge gap in the modeling world, and I'm sure a much bigger one in his families one. My condolences to all who knew him, and especially to his loved ones.

From the Model Boats forum.
Sadly further t.o the very sad news about Malcolm, his daughter posted on facebook tonight this awful and diabolical news.
Blackpool Police: A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man in Blackpool.

Admin: Everyone is horrified at what has happened and naturally we all want to know more but they can find that out from news reports online.
The fact that Malcolm's death is the subject of a murder investigation is in the public domain and has been widely reported on in socal media, online & including on BBC national news, so best the investigation is not discussed or speculated here on Mayhem.
But please feel free to post messages of condolence & and happy anecdotes of Malcolm if you have them.
Our most sincere condolences to all the family and friends.

You are right, and this would be in keeping with the family's wishes.

Yes, we won't be speculating on the circumstances on the MB Forum either. What we know already is tragic enough. The facts will emerge in due course.

Terrible circumstances in his passing. I was only familiar with Malcolm via his posts on this site so never really knew him in person. There are some very wicked people out there.
-
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. It is of great comfort to both myself and my family to know that my dad was so highly thought of and will be remembered as the kind and generous man that we all knew.
I have authorised Dave to give updates with regards to details as and when they are made and passed on to him.
Thank you

Well done the investigation team. Only 19 yrs jail >:-o Just another one to add to the near 6,000 murderers in jail growing at an average of 300 per year.

Thanks for posting that Martin. I feel slightly sick reading the article but just glad they caught the guy and there was follow-up. Thoughts to the family.
