Next question
Intrepids LCU AND LCVP.
What colours were they at the time of the Falklands. I seem to get various colours from dog do brown and green, to grey and green. Also were the insides camo, dark grey or whatever???

Hi Klunk,

I built a 1/16 scale LCU and was lucky to have been invited to the Roly Marines museum to do some research. The main think I came away with was each coxswain of the LCUs made ther own mods so each were different.

Any way to answer your question I’ve attached a picture of LCU landing marines at San Carlos Bay.

I believe post Falklands war the LCUs and LPCV are Dog do brown. But pre War they were RN Light grey second picture.

Hi Pete. Did you find a set of plans? If not this company has just bought all of the Jecobin plans and put them up for sale for a reasonable price compared to Trinities.

Hi there,

Not sure if this will help but here is a list showing parts - available from Sirmar - No doubt if you ring Barry he will be able to assist you, if you need to purchase any.

HMS Fearless (sirmarfittings.com) (https://www.sirmarfittings.com/fearless.html)

Just as a side note - does anyone know if G.L.Y. Hitch is still drawing the plans - or has he retired completely?

There are a number of pics of her going to the breakers and being broken up. This sort may give an indication of the type of kit fitted :-))
