Hope I have name correct looking for the screws that only take 1/4 turn to lock
At moment I am using M3 screws to retain the removable part of Victoria’s flight deck. Thought these might be quicker to fasten but need to be sort of M3 or 4 size

Not sure you will find something that small commercially, Maybe Dubro makes something for wings or hatches?

Maybe there is a UK supplier?
I sort of built my own in brass using tubes and pins, or plate.
One was for connecting the 9mm fire monitor in place. The second is for the
spring loaded hatch on the deck of my tug to allow cooling air into the hull.
I would imagine that soldering a bit of plate onto the end of a tube and then threading
a screw or socket head into the tube through the deck would create what you need.
Spring loading it, so it might press in to slip over and latch behind a pin would keep it from vibrating loose.

Might be a good idea to look on 'Southco' site, both metal and plastic 'Dzus' fasteners. Problem could be that due to way they work, spring tension on receptacle may be too strong.

Hi, you could try turnlock.eu? Found them with a bit of google searching but they have UK contacts and I was surprised how small they go to e.g. LMHFTLC-1Z (3.2mm? The head is bigger though it's countersunk)
I used to have a few small ones in a bits box but long gone by now afraid. They would have either come from RS or in a bag or random fasters you used to be able to buy from engineering companies back when web was early days.
...either that or any reason why not to use magnets?

Rich thanks for that, they look quite good, why no magnets, to be honest, never had much luck with them and the locations are better suited for the screws.
