Watt:  Unit of energy (W)
What:  As in -what...?

...What does "wot" mean please, I see this more often these days but it makes no sense???  Is it a new word we are all supposed to know about or something else cut short???

No wrinklies remember Chad? 'Wot' was a standard term used by the character. It's an age thing.

"Chad" is what I was called by everyone growing up (and they never knew the origins of it)!  Any school-friend back from the day still calls me this.  Rich or full Richard is something I'm still getting used to after decades (D**k is forbidden for me though I worked with guys prefered to be called it).  I actually work closely with a guy from Chad the country at the moment.  He laughs at my nickname and I still call him by his first name, "Mamadou".   I still struggle when I see "wot" these days though, it's not exacty a long word to get right, but I live and learn!

As I remember Him Also  nicknames you were lucky Richard as for others  take George  Ezra  We had a mate nicknamed EZRA  due  he had a large Ezra (reverse it) the you get parents that think they are clever  picking sweet names like Cheryl which was also  the name Cheryl Ann  an old tugboat in a  tv series  back in the 50's. Chuck that  to the girls at work if anyone is called Cheryl. Anyway as said  A Rose by any other name :}2
