Title: Flexi Shaft Fitting Help
Post by: whiskeyfrank on November 05, 2007, 01:09:54 pm
I am new to flexishafts, used sub surface drives before.

I have a prestwich fast electric shaft assembly with teflon liner and copper stuffing tube and ali strut

What i need to know is how i fit the stuffing tube and strut, does the stfuuing tube finish at the transom or through to the strut?, rather confused at the assembly procedure, sorry for the ignorance!!!

The boat is scratch built and a mixture of designs but basically like a 28" wildthing. 700 motor if that helps!

Thanks

Hi whiskeyfrank,

On all the flexi shafts I have,  the inner goes all the way to the strut.
