Title: Kyosho Seawind
Post by: Joe Hardy on June 21, 2006, 11:58:42 pm
Helllo
I am busy assembling a Seawind and have found the instruction manual brilliant ,however I am not sure where the "Long shrouds" attach to the mast. There are two six mm screws pre fitted in the position I would expect the shrouds should fit but the illustration isn't much use.
I would appreciate any help
Regards
 Joe

Hi,

I had the same dilema, unscrew the two 6mm screws a couple of turns, make a small loop in the rigging cord and pop it over the screw.
Retighten the screw and jobs done. I put a tiny drop of glue on the screw and the cord just to be safe.

Happy sailing
Alan

Thanks Alan
I had come to the same solution.
Strange that the manual was so vague about that one point when it is so good generally.
I have had to modify the spreader fixing too so that I can remove them easiily to put the mast and rigging into a sail box for transporting. It is a bit of a chore having to rig at the lakeside but I am frightened that the sails would be damaged by carrying a rigged boat in the car
Thanks again for your quick reply.
Regards
Joe

Afraid I have to de-rigg on every visit to the pond.

Getting good at it now, but the spring clips are getting a bit worn.

Good luck with the rest of the build.
