Title: Boat plans
Post by: sinbad on December 09, 2007, 07:34:06 pm
Hi All,
I wish to make a plank on frame model of a traditional Greek fishing boat (I think they are called Cyquas) or summut like that but having searched the internet without any luck so I thought I would ask the people that know.

Have you tried Traplet publications I will stand corrected but I think that they do a boat similar to what you need

Its quite possible that plans were not used for the originals - in many cases the traditional hull forms were built to a pattern taught and handed dow through the generations.

I believe what you are on about are Greek caiaques, I doubt you will find drawings for these as they are a traditional craft which have been built by the fishermen for many years. O0
