You guys have a whole forum for Springers... We are trapped in one thread over at RCg. :D
After a break, I think I built the hull and superstructure in August.. ::)
I have finally gotten in some time with the Springer build.
So with a lull in the work load I started in on the railings for my Springer...

Nice to see someone else working in brass are you going to have the mast automated , I have been looking at playing with hydrolicks for some time and made a few bits out of some old buggy shocks I fancy making a hi ab crane but don't have a boat to put it on.. anyway nice work.

You don't know how tempting that is, but it is only a springer.
Kind of a dry run for a Damen 2810, but I really have to sort through my project priorities.
There are just too many plans, and mad ideas... :D

I have been doing some drawrings of an American type tug the type that the bridge lifts up on scissor lift for a springer but if its on the boat it has to work..

I am English but crap at putting what I mean into words,,
When I said I seem to follow your builds I was trying to say that I looked in on your posts and saw how you did the bits I was doing at the same time, then thought "why didn't I do it that way. It would have been easier"

Just giving you a ribbing catengineman, I honestly don't expect everyone to attempt all
the crazy projects that get into my head... :D
I have to say, when I build a scale model of the Damen 2810, I will make that mast operable and lighted.
As it is, I will probably light this one.
Here is the front stairs and the the uptakes..

Hi Umi, beautiful work! O0 You really know how to spend a lot of time making things look perfect in every way. Oh to have the patience myself. This will be a really well laid out tug by virtue of the care taken so far. I can't wait to see the completed model. WOW

BTW Tito will be fully laptop controlled by New Years Day. (I saw a version of the interface programme wrapped up in Christmas paper)

Let me know what Software you got. I located a USB 16 servo controller, and am giving it considerations...
I still haven't quite got a handle on how the two computers are talking...

A few more "railings",... The bulwarks are up.
A little creative cardboard patterns, then plywood cutting, and a little help from the "Shroud Calc" for the stern corners.

A little more work on the bulwark supports...
then hawser holes, and that should be it for railings. 8)
