Title: Flower Class Corvette
Post by: kengarth on December 29, 2007, 11:44:05 am
I have been given the Revell  'Snowberry' kit.  I have never built one of these before, but would like to liken it as close as possible to K49 HMS La Malouine, in which my father served for four years.
Any tips as to procedure would be appreciated:
Is it usual to paint sections as they are constructed, or do I do it all at the end?
Where do I find the right colour schemes, and where do I source extra materials, such as decals?
They say ignorance is bliss, but I would like top get it right!

As for painting, do it in an order that is easy for you.  I would suggest the hull and main deck should be assembled then painted but then the superstructure can be done as a seperate item to make access as easy as possible.  If you are going for one of the camoflage schemes that go across the whole ship you will have to make the parts out in a dry assembled state before removing and actually painting.
