Hi All
Does anyone know if I can use 29.825MHZ radio frequency for a R/C Boat. This was a R/C set I bought of ebay and would like to know if I will be breaking some law :police: when I use it here in Australia. I am led to believe that radio frequency designation is a little more lax here in Australia than the UK .

Have a look at the Australian Communications and Media Authority site:

David, I'm not sure that radio laws are more lax in Australia than in the UK, but we have different frequencies allocated for R/C use, the main one being 36Mhz and 29Mhz. As Roy said, yours is perfectly legal in Australia. The Web Site plugger referred you to explains the situation pretty well.

Thanks guys, now I can be assured that a little bloke with a clipboard wont come around to the Lake and issue me with a ticket. Actually speaking what can they do to you if you are found with an aircraft freq or even a car freq on a boat or vise versa and how would they know or find out?

If he is an officer he would have a frequency counter, and you would be gone........................... O0
