Title: Airfix type XXIII
Post by: swordfish fairey on January 15, 2008, 09:43:59 pm
Did you know Airfix are due to release a type XXIII U-Boat in 1:72nd scale, some time this year. I don't know if it is a new moulding or a re-issue from another manufacturer. Still it sounds as if there are some forward thinkers at the new Airfix.......Smudge O0

Good to see Airfix back.. lots of memories and kits built.

Wonder if they have a yearly catalogue yet or have I missed it.

Cheers for that link Richard

I think the last kit I built was the Harvard (spelling) always reminded me of the Zero, that was many years ago.

It was in a plastic bag not a box. Still can remember the smell of a new model  just opened and Humbrol paints too.

Use to paint them with a brush and the paint was so thick on the model it took ages to dry.

Ah more please. I think the ones in bags were pocket money prices

Why can't we have a model of a British submarine, a T class for instance?
