As with most models of this complexity it has taken him a number of years but the level of detail in this RC model is quite amazing. Each aircraft is a model in it's own right and the tower itself is an example of soldering most of us could only dream of. The tractor is also superb and every single gun is a miniature masterpiece of resin and white metal. The model also incorporates a working lift and many accurate navigation and aircraft handling lights that also need to be seen to be believed.

I was lucky enough to get a couple more shots of her this morning on the side of thge pond.
If you want to see this model in all it's glory it will be at Harrogate next weekend with all the flight deck details on. Just for now though have a look at the level of detail Stan has managed to achieve with this model.

A couple more shots of Stan's carrier the Gambier Bay with his Fletcher class destroyer next to it shot at Harrogate in May. The two vessels are actually displaying different camoflage patterns which are interesting to compare on the two ships side by side. The amount of time required to mask and paint such a pattern is considerable and to be able to get it correct without generating large builds of overspray requires a lot of carefull planning and preparation.
Both superb models.
The last one is of course the man himself, I'm afraid the shutter speed isn't fast enough on my camera to catch his mouth closed!!
