Title: Swastika's painted on deck of Prinz Eugen
Post by: thunderbird1949 on February 03, 2008, 11:29:12 am
Hi ...I am in the process of building a model of the German heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen
as it was in late 1942. My query concern are the swastika's painted on the decks both fore & aft
to aid aircraft recognition. I believe a black swastika on a white circle was painted on a red background.
Does anyone know if this correct please and if so what shade of red.
Thank you ...Trevor

Swastikas were painted fore and aft on a red background.
