you got a good quality kiwi coach thats why. would you swap him back for graham henry.. pleeeease :) :)
-
You know, I would like to see a International Rugby team put together and faced off against the supposed 'tough' football (not soccer) teams from the USA...
-
Keep your cellar well stocked Stavros, you'll need it when Wales beats Ireland {-)
Toesupwa, if you took all the padding etc of those Gridiron players they wouldn't be so tough. A rugby team would run rings around them, some of those big blokes couldn't run out of sight on a dark night {-) {-) {-) (Now I've upset our American friends - sorry :embarrassed: )
Peter.
-
Well hate to say told you so, Wales THRASHED Italy today I feel the need to celebrate tonihgt I wonder WHY
Stavros
-
Were they playing something then Stavros ? :-\
-
Okay, okay so you beat the Italians....Big thrill. Any one can beat them...........
Oh hang on a mo.....We only just did it and lost to Wales........Ireland just did it......maybe you have something there Stavros.
-
What's with this "we", Barry? Has Spain joined the championship without my permission??
Stavros - what goes around comes around, and your lot are probably overdue some decent players after waiting so long since That Team dominated rugby in the 70's. Just do what you can to get rid of those pussies in metallic boots, will you? They're a disgrace............and they play like NFA prima donnas (or Premier League uber-celebs).
Now Wales vs Australia would be a match to reserve the sofa for!

Toesupwa,
I remember a programme a few years ago when a few welsh players went to the u.s.a to play american football ,and yes they lost,,,,,,,,But when the rematch came about , to play rugby the u.s team refused to play without all their body armour and shoulder pads, so what does that say about the tough american football players.

Sorry i forgot to mention crash helmets and face guards. Us in the U.K only wear things like that for real dangerous things like riding motorbikes ;) ;) ;) ;)

And even then there are a lot of people who don't want to wear helmets riding a motorbike.
-
FLJ, the way Australian Rugby is at the moment, I wouldn't bet on the Wallabies with someone else's money ;D
Stavros, keep celebrating, Wales will win the Grand Slam O0

Well done Wales.
But what a terrible performance by England in a poor match against Scotland. Johnny got the record which his performance to date deserves but oh boy was he bad in this match!
Ah well, Sunday I get to cheer France........
Roger in France.

Aye, it was a "poor match" from England's viewpoint (the sour grapes on the EBC were obvious) but it was just grand viewed from here. At last Scotland got it right, forgot the schoolboy errors and showed what they can do. The difference was night and day.
I note that although the EBC News gave the Wales v. Ireland game good coverage, when it came to the Calcutta Cup, the clips shown concentrated on not-so-wonderful Wilkinson kicking one of his sucessful penalties and ignored the rest of the game. Impartial - I think not! As Corporal Jones said, "They don't like it up 'em!"

PS Wilkinson taking a dive - O dear, O dear...

A dive you call it!!!!!When a seventeen stone man runs into you leaving his arm around your neck, that can hardly be described as a dive when he falls to the ground. >>:-(
In that other sport known as football that would have been an assault, leading to a red card and possible criminal charges.
I know England were awful and outplayed by a bad side, but come on....Dive it was not. ;)
-
He dived after he was released! If you want to talk about red cards then look no further than Balshaw whose football-style, feet-first, skidding, studs in the air, assault on Lamont may not have been intended to put the latter in hospital but it did. Just for the total stupidity of using a dangerous move like that Balshaw should have been sent off. God knows what Kaplan was thinking. Hopefully Balshaw is being cited and kicked out for months. >>:-(
-
An emotive game this rugby :)
-
Game? Game? Game? GAME??? THIS IS WAR!!!!!!!
>:( >>:-(

Calm down guys its only a game ;)

>:( >>:-(
War the man says. If he wants war he can have it..........
Can I suggest......Boats across the pool down here where the sun shines......Last boat floating wins the war.....and buys the beer.....

Well done to Wales O0
From a happy Englishman ;D
-
I went. Was worried that I only had a 'downstairs' seat. Neednt have really - there are no bad seats in that most glorious of sporting venues. It's only a while back I was bemoaning the loss of the old National Stadium but this ones grown on me now.
Got soaked going in but a dry seat with the roof on was awesome , I'm planning on watching it allover again tonight on BBC i-player once Mrs Mogsy is asleep.
I was quite emotional at the full time whistle as I was back on the 2nd Feb at Twickers.
Added bonus was being introduced to Bonnie Tyler in the WREX (WelshRugbyExPlayers) suite after the game.
A good time to be Welsh me thinks!!!
-
Yes, well done the Welsh. So good to see that proud nation regaining valour in its National Game.
I sat here in France cheering on the Welsh like mad (having shut all the doors and shutters tightly)!
Bonnie Tyler eh!!! Swoon, swoon, you lucky chap. One of her best songs, "Lost in France".
Roger in France.
