Title: Graphics Tablets
Post by: Bryan Young on February 28, 2008, 05:27:21 pm
I have just been given a (new) "Tevion" graphics tablet. Perhaps it is so simple to use that the manufacturers deem a set of instructions unnecessary. Not to me thay ain't. Has anyone else got one of these things (or similar). I do not know where it was bought or when! Can anyone give me a bit of assistance to get me up and running? (Honest, I won't flood the forum with scribbles. I really would like to use it as an aid to model making). Cheers. Bryan.

Thanks. Basically, how do I draw anything so it come up on the computer. All it seems to want to teach me is handwriting recognition. All I want to do is trace some drawingsleaving out some bits (the Havelock cranes) so I can get an idea as to how the things are put together. BY.

Did it come with a Cd? there mght be programs on there for tracing. You can lift up  the plastic sheet that you"draw" on and put a picture plan etc under it.
Mines conected to a computer upstairs, I have a look later to see what the programs are.
Basically the pen acts like a mouse.
I think they are most use in something like Paintshop. Mine does funny things if it get too close to the monitor.

Another "live and learn"! I just thought that the plastic sheet had been badly stuck down. Never really considered myself to be an idiot before.
I use Paintshop Pro 8...bought PSP10 and hated it. Gave it away. Money down the drain (again). Ta for answering. Bryan.

If it needs software you should be able to google "Tevion graphics pad" and find some you can download.
