I just used PLA+ for this, as it's mainly a test run of how to make a model with 3D printing. My next printed models will likely be printed in ASA as that is supposed to offer better UV resistance.

Hi
A great thanks for your so quick a reply on my questions. ![]() ![]() ![]() Your information will be useful and informative to my next experimental project to start in this mid-summer perhaps. Oh, sorry to say, again there was one thing important left to ask you relating to the adhesive...what kind of material is the hull? polystyrene, ABS or the other..? Kiyo |

Hi, I just used some thicker than normal cyanoacrylate superglue to glue it all together. Once it was all held together I used a 2 part epoxy glue on all the joints, and then covered all the inside of the hull with epoxy resin. It's my 1st printed model so we'll see how long it lasts. |

Hi
You have done a very good job even on the water and the ship looks so realistic with a nice balance on the water representing a profile of the Fletcher class destroyer. ![]() ![]() By the way, may I ask you what kind of adhesive you used to join the individual piece(blocks?) of hull structure? And how did you reinforce the joints of the hull blocks? I'm quite new to 3D printed model of hull. ![]() Your reply is highly helpful for me . ![]() Kiyo |

It is a beautiful line of engines. I wonder if they are original creations or made after some existing plans?
