1/96 scale rifle and cutlasses
« on: May 29, 2012, 12:59:40 pm »

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help me. I bought sometime ago an old complete Dean's kit of Amazon, I am trying to complete it in WW1 condition, the question I am asking is after reading recently about HMS Broke in the Dover Patrol, that she had had rifle racks with baynets fixed fitted in key positions around the vessel with also cutlass racks for close quarter actions such as boarding etc. The question is does anyone know where one can get in 1/96 scale rifles and cutlasses, because I really do not fancy making them.

Hello! Have you thought about either paying someone to, or having a go at making them from photo-etch? Nick

 Hi David.
Looked at  Flea bay there swords, daggers, and bayonets @ 1:72 rifles same scale.  There does not seem to be any "military figures" with the weapons in 1:96.

There is though a "wargammers" shop in town I could drop in to as I pass that way.   1:96 plastic naval figures I have in my boat crew`s box.

                                                          cheers Frank

Thanks for the comments lads, I think I will probaly have to have a go making them myself, it is just that I am making up a very old Deans Amazon kit and thought that it may be interesting to add them to it.
